the botanic gardens if you want to have a look for yourself.

macro images

these are a few of m landscape shots from the day the the botanical gardens, i'm  quite proud of them they are the more experimental ones of the day, but if you want something different you just have to get on the ground or climb up a tree!!

to present these images for the end of project i used a postcard like format. the background image is a landscape shot, taken at the botanical gardens. i lowered the opacity so the foreground images stood out more. i think it adds more depth to it as opposed to a plain white back ground.

i used the same technique for this collage on the fairy tale of Alice and wonderland
we were given a brief in digital media to tell a fairy tale through three images.

i was really excited about his brief and couldn't wait to start.

i chose Alice in wonderland, because of its quirky characters and themes.

i focused mainly on the finding of wonderland, at the        beginning of the story.

obviously there was photoshop involved, which we learnt about during the weeks. i'd always been interested in the programme but its much less fustrating when your taught how to use it.

photoshop

for years i have been one of the many people to claim that the other programmes are as good or efficient as photoshop, but now i see that i was only jealous. after spending five minutes on this glorious programme i was amazed it does everything except create life! okay slight exaggeration but we did learn some interesting tricks for example, colour popping, putting your signature on the image and more importantly the sizes, resolutions and pixels needed for printing or online viewing!
